May 19th 2011
The project has wrapped - we appreciate all of input and feedback that the community provided in the process of the CEEP development. The CEEP, DEEP (District Energy Expansion Pre-Feasibility Study) and the Business Planning Tools and Principles documents are now complete, and are in the process of review and endorsement by Council. We'll post them as soon at that process is done!

Thanks to all the community members that joined us for the CEEP community outreach on January 20th and 21st. It was a great success. Lots of excellent discussion, and hopefully lots learned from the participants.

The draft report and summaries are now available at our 'Downloads' tab. Please take some time to review the report, and then fill out our online feedback survey. Thanks again for your participation.

January 14th 2011

Happy New Year everyone. The CEEP team has been working hard at completing the next draft of the reports for the CEEP process. We'll be posting the draft document here on Monday January 17th in preparation for the upcoming community outreach. There are a few things going on:
  • Community workshop and dinner: January 20th at 5:30pm at the Community Centre
  • Community Energy Fair: January 20th at 7pm at the Community Centre
  • Business Luncheon: January 21st at 11:30am at the Community Centre.
We would appreciate it if you would RSVP if interested by Tuesday, January 18th. To RSVP, call Jessica Stuart at 250-837-3637 or send her an email at [email protected]. We will be discussing energy price increases, with special input from Terasen and BC Hydro representatives. We will also be reviewing the recommendations from the CEEP report, and have a conversation about how we can ensure successful implementation in Revelstoke.

November 8th

Thanks to everyone that participated in the on-line CEEP survey!! We had lots of great responses that will be integrated into Revelstoke's Community Energy and Emissions Plan. We appreciate the time everyone took to complete the survey.

We have now posted the community outreach presentation at the Downloads tab.

Currently, our team is working on the draft reports for the District Energy Expansion Pre-feasibility Study, and the Community Energy and Emissions Plan. We intend to host an event in January so that you can see what we've developed based on all the information compiled over the past few months.

October 25th update

Thanks to everyone that came out for the community engagement on Thursday! And to all the stakeholders that participated in our outreach lunch. Both sessions provided valuable input to the plan. All of the comments and ideas will be compiled and shared in a 'meeting proceedings' document.

There is still opportunity to participate and provide your ideas!! We developed a survey that was distributed at the Open House. It is available electronically. The Revelstoke CEEP Survey can be filled out easily on-line, so share the link with your friends! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QCHNZDZ

Our team is now working on completing the Opportunity Assessment, and will beginning developing the recommendations and policies that will help the community reach the energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.

October 4th update

We are getting ready for our community open house coming up in a few short weeks! The event will take place on October 21st from 7-9 pm at the Community Centre. The event will begin with a short presentation by the CEEP team, and will be followed by an Open House-style of booths and opportunities for input. We are keen to hear what the community thinks about greenhouse gas emissions, and what strategies would be useful to help reduce emissions in the community. We'd also like to hear your thoughts on energy efficiency and conservation, and your ideas around district energy and alternative forms of energy. Join us on the 21st of October to learn more about the project!

Can't make it to the Open House?? We will be posting a survey here in a couple of weeks so that you can still provide your input and ideas.

September 7th update

Our team is currently working on the background components of the CEEP: finalizing the energy and emissions inventory and working on the technical pieces of the RCEC pre-feasibility study. We are planning for our community engagement in October, so keep your eyes open for the opportunity to get involved in the process of the community energy and emissions plan.

June 15th
